Cancellation and Refund Policy

Summary

You only pay for work that has been agreed in writing. Enquiries and proposals are free, nothing is charged before you accept a proposal, and payment arrangements are set out in that proposal. The terms below apply unless your written proposal says otherwise. No payments are taken on this website.

Enquiries and proposals

Sending an enquiry and receiving a proposal cost nothing, and you are under no obligation to accept. There is nothing to cancel or refund at this stage.

Cancelling before work starts

You can cancel by email at any time before the agreed work begins. If you have paid anything in advance, it is refunded in full.

Regular support

You can end or pause regular support by email, with the notice stated in your proposal. You pay for work carried out up to the end date. If you paid in advance for a period that ends early, the unused part is refunded.

One-off tasks and projects

You can cancel a one-off task or project by email at any time. You pay for the work completed up to the point of cancellation, and any advance payment for work not yet carried out is refunded.

If something is not right

If the work contains a mistake on my part, or does not match what was agreed, tell me by email and it will be corrected at no extra cost. If it cannot be put right, a fair refund for the affected work will be agreed with you.

How refunds are paid

Refunds are paid in the currency you paid in and, where possible, by the same payment method, once the amount has been confirmed with you by email.

Third-party costs

If the work involves third-party purchases or subscriptions that you approve, such as software or bookings, those are governed by the third party’s own cancellation and refund terms.

Your legal rights

This policy does not affect any rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
